HeartCry is a unique compilation of ‘mood music’ songs with many cultural flavors and styles combined as only Nancy can do. Listening to these songs you will feel like all of the stress and weariness have been wrung out of your body, and you will be refreshed and rejuvenated from within.
The album came about as Nancy was preparing to play for the grand opening of a restaurant, and several of the songs were written specifically for that performance. The melodies are a mixture of many different cultural styles and sounds, blended together like a recipe – a recipe for utter relaxation!
Also included on this album is the first song that Nancy composed as an adult in 1979, a soulful, smooth-jazz tune which includes saxophone.
